Acupuncture
Your acupuncture treatment will be unique, in depth, an d enjoyable. My work is very gentle and yet powerfully healing. We use very thin, sterile, single-use, disposable needles. Most people find acupuncture to be very tolerable, reporting little or no discomfort. Almost everyone experiences a deep relaxation during and after the treatment. A typical treatment with me lasts 60 minutes most of which is devoted to your personal treatment. Initial evaluations may take a little longer. In addition to acupuncture, we may use other time-tested modalities in individual treatments, such as Cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na (Chinese physical therapy), electric stimulation, and the application of heat or cold.
NEEDLE FREE TREATMENTS ARE AVAILABLE!
Cupping
Cupping, an ancient Chinese practice, warms and promotes the free flow of Qi and blood in the body, and is typically used to treat musculo-skeletal disorders such as pain in the lower back, shoulders, and legs. Other disorders, such as gastrointestinal disease, cough and asthma, also respond well to this therapy. While cupping does cause mild bruising (part of the therapeutic process) patients often report immediate relief from long-term chronic conditions
Herbology
The use of herbal remedies has been known to most cultures throughout history. Chinese herbology is the oldest herbal medicine in existence today. Much of modern pharmacology is based on this ancient practice of herbalism. In fact, many current Western pharmaceuticals are derived directly herbal materials. Herbal formulas are prepared individually for patients to meet their specific needs. In addition, each formula may be modified throughout the course of treatment as the patient’s condition changes. Herbal medicine, when properly dispensed, does not cause unwanted side effects, which often occur with pharmaceutical drugs.
